Musicians in Preston are baffled after the ‘greatest advert of all time’ appeared on The Mill noticeboard.
The Mill is a building in Aqueduct Street, Preston, where bands can rent rehearsal rooms.
There is also a noticeboard where you can place advertisements looking for members of bands, amongst other things.
A new advert has appeared this week and has been described as ‘probably the greatest advert of all time’.
One musician, known only as Wilf and as yet unidentified, posted an advert for himself that said:
More: Woman pays for elderly man’s shopping in random act of kindness
“Wanted! New band! I’m a guitarist but I’m sick of working with c****
“Wants: a drummer who can keep time, a singer who can sing, a bassist who doesn’t try to f*** my bird. Wilf.”
The advert also features the Wilf’s mobile number but we’ve removed it from the image.
Stephen Boyle, member of the band Toca Bonito, said: “Mark behind the counter had no idea (who Wilf is) either. He said it appeared when he wasn’t there
“I thought I’d experienced some turbulent times in bands, nothing compared to Wilf.
“Poor lad, someone give him a hug and buy him a beer”
