Man in hospital following Ribbleton takeaway assault

A man is in hospital after suffering a number of lacerations during an assault in Ribbleton.

Six police vehicles attended reports of an attack at the Tun Lok takeaway in Miller Road.

A 45-year-old man is being treated at Royal Preston Hospital and has a number of cuts following the incident.

A police spokeswoman confirmed a man had been arrested at the scene on suspicion of Section 18 (GBH with intent).

The assault took place around 10.10pm on Monday (26 June).
