South Ribble has elected its new MP and it is Seema Kennedy returning.

ConservativesĀ hold the seat and have a majority of 5,945Ā votes from the 2015 election.

Seema Kennedy has been the MPĀ since 2015Ā and the seat was last held by Labour in 2005.

Julie Patricia Gibson ā€“ Labour – 21,559 votes
Mark Andrew Jarnell ā€“ National Health Action Party – 341 votes
Seema Louise Ghiassi Kennedy ā€“ Conservatives – 28,980 votes
Mark Lawrence Smith ā€“ UKIP – 1,387 votes
Andrew Edward Wight ā€“ Green Party – 494 votes
John Patrick Wright ā€“ Liberal Democrats – 2,073 votes
