A community music and ale festival has raised a five-figure sum.
G-Festival in Hoghton is raising money for a new Gregson Lane community centre and keeping the playing fields looking top-notch.
During the Bank Holiday Weekend more than 2,000 people watched live music and helped to drink the bar dry of craft ales and gin.
Rain on the Saturday didn’t dampen spirits according to the G-Festival team and the festival enjoyed better weather on the Sunday.
Overall more than £16,000 was raised by festival-goers.

“We’re now busy planning for 2018’s G-Festival and how we can make it bigger and better.”
