Firefighters have been tackling a fire in Preston city centre at a gym.

Real Gym in Ormskirk Road had two fire engines attend the incident around 11pm on Thursday (9 June).

Preston Police were also called to the fire.

Smoke could be seen coming from the Real Gym premises in Shereton House.

Christopher Ridley said: “We were on the way home from Blackpool when we saw the blue flashing lights.

“We walked round from the Bus Station to see that there had been a fire at the gym.”

The extent of the damage is not yet known.
