A BMW driver is off to court after being caught driving over 100mph.
The driver was travelling at speeds up to 111mph on the M61 near Chorley at around 2.59pm today (June 26).
Excess speeding can result in the driver being passed on to magistrates’ court where a hefty fine or driving ban can be imposed.

A tweet from Lancashire Road Police said: “BMW spotted well in excess of 100mph on the M61 near Chorley.
“Driver now off to court to faces the Magistrates.”
