As Ramadan begins a restaurant in Preston is opening its doors to the homeless.
Lola, an Egyptian restaurant in London Road, has become known for its acts of kindness.
Now as the Muslim community begins its fasting the restaurant is offering a free meal to those less fortunate.
Walaa Hassan, owner of Lola, said: “We are celebrating Ramadan month by offering 30 days of free meals for the homeless.
“This will be from 9pm to 10pm each night.
“Please share to help us to serve our community and Ramadan Mubarak everyone.”
Ramanda began on Friday (26 May) and ends during the evening of Saturday 24 June.
This isn’t the first time Lola has stepped up to help the city’s homeless, offering free meals to celebrate their second birthday and also feeding the homeless on Christmas Day.
