A Preston teenager is being treated for injuries to his leg after a crash in Ingol.

The young cyclist was on his bike at the junction of Tag Lane and Village Green Lane when the incident took place.

Preston Police said they were called at 3.13pm to the collision.

A car was involved in a collision with the boy. The driver stopped at the scene.

The road was closed during the incident and as of 5.15pm on Sunday (14 May) it remained closed between Kidsgrove and Goldburn Close until shortly after 6pm.

An air ambulance was called to the scene and landed nearby but it was not needed – with the boy taken to hospital by ambulance instead. He is being treated at Royal Preston Hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting log number 929.
