A bridge near the M55 junction for the new Broughton Bypass has begun to take shape.
Brooklands Bridge has beams in place and kerbs have been installed around the traffic island and carriageway linking to D’urton Lane.
D’urton lane has been closed at the junction with the A6 and will remain closed to through traffic until the bypass opens.
In the northern section the Helms Farm underpass to Whittingham Lane is taking shape and in the coming weeks footpaths and acoustic fencing are being added.

Road closures have begun at Whittingham Lane between 9.30am to 3.30pm from Tuesday (2 May) to Saturday (6 May),
This is to allow the new road layout to be completed.
Along the central road section the southbound carriageway has now had the first tarmac laid and the kerb lines are now in place. Further tarmac will be laid over the next few weeks.
The bypass is due to open in August this year.
