A former mini-supermarket in Ashton-on-Ribble is to re-open as a shoe shop.

Wynsors World of Shoes has left its Corporation Street store for the Blackpool Road junction.

Opening in late May the shop has free parking – while the former site relied on the pay and display Hill Street car park.

The store at 535 Blackpool Road was a MyLocal which closed in June last year when the chain went bust.

Store manager at Wynsors Preston Linda Foulds said: “The team is looking forward to revealing our new store to customers, who can now park for free when they come to visit us, and make use of some fantastic opening day offers.

“We can’t wait to reopen to local shoppers and to continue providing the perfect footwear for all of the family from our new location for many years to come.”

Wynsors is already trading and will officially open on Thursday 25 May and has promised special opening day offers.
