Series of burglaries sparks police warning in Ashton and Tulketh

Homeowners in Ashton-on-Ribble and Tulketh are being warned to be extra vigilant after a series of break-ins.

Preston Police have stepped up patrols in the area following the burglaries.

All of them took place in the early hours of Friday and Saturday morning and police say homes with insecure doors and windows have been targeted.

PCSO Stephen Connolly said they believed the burglaries may be linked to reports of individuals attempting to purchase items in the city centre using several contactless bank cards.

Items taken during the burglaries include car keys, high value electronics and bank cards.

PCSO Connolly said: “Please can I ask that residents remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour on 101.”
