Penwortham road back open after serious crash

Police had closed a main road in Penwortham following a crash.

It is understood a motorcyclist is involved as emergency services attend the scene.

Pope Lane from the junction with Woodville Road to the junction with Highfield Drive is was shut until around 6.50pm on Sunday (21 May).

One eyewitness said they saw police, ambulance and fire service vehicles attending the crash which took place around 4.25pm.
