Motorcyclist treated for broken bones after Penwortham crash

A motorcyclist is recovering after a crash in Penwortham which closed a major road for two hours on Sunday.

Pope Lane was shut from 4pm on Sunday (21 May) following the crash involving a Suzuki motorbike and a Seat Leon.

The rider, a 28-year-old man, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

Police said he had been treated for a broken leg and a broken wrist.

No arrests have been made and police are not appealing for witnesses at this stage.
