M6 to be shut at Junction 32 access for bridge repairs

A number of days of overnight closures are planned on the M6 near Preston.

Access to the M6 northbound at Junction 32 from Broughton is to be shut off for bridge repairs.

From 8pm on Wednesday (10 May) to 6am on Thursday (11 May) all lanes will be closed as you come through from the M55. Instead drivers will be diverted onto the A6 and have to head north to junction 33.

During the day there will be lane closures on this stretch while works are continued from Wednesday until Saturday (13 May).

At the same time the M6 southbound between Junction 32 and Junction 31A will have three of four lanes closed.

The lane closures kick in from 8pm on Tuesday (9 May) through to 6am each day until Saturday (13 May).
