A store which has been empty for two years at a Preston retail park is to re-open.
The former Tesco Homeplus store is being converted into a new sofa showroom.
Fabb Sofas has signed an agreement to take on the unit, which faces into London Road at the Capitol Centre, and is in the process of refitting it.
A spokeswoman for Royal London, who run the Walton-le-Dale site, said: “The entire unit has been pre-let to Fabb Sofas which is a new furniture retailer established by Lord Kirkham, the former owner of DFS.
“The works will be completed in October and Fabb will open following their internal fit out.
“We are delighted to have Fabb Sofas coming to the retail park. Lord Kirkham has a first class reputation and having discussed the company with him in detail, we were pleased that he chose the Capitol Centre, Preston for one of his first stores.”

Fabb sofas have outlets in Edinburgh, Croydon, Southampton and Nottingham. This will be their first in the North West.
The unit has been empty since Tesco closed the chain in May 2015.
