The former Broughton Printers building in Preston is on fire.
Smoke can be seen billowing from the former print site in Oliver’s Place, Fulwood.
Workers at the site, which is now owned by a bubble wrap company, have been evacuated on Wednesday (24 May) lunchtime. They have now been allowed back into offices.
It is not known how the fire started at this stage.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called at 12.58pm and had sent four crews.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “The building is in the early stages of demolition. We sent crews from Preston, Fulwood and Penwortham to the fire.
“On fire is an oil-based printing ink. There are no casualties. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus are using a main (hydrant supplied) jet and a hosereel jet to extinguish the fire.”
The fire service has sent an aerial platform from Blackpool to assist with securing the scene of the fire.

It took nearly two hours to put out the fire and the fire service said they are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
The offices are used by the Northern and Shell Media group and were previously used by the Lancashire Post.
