Family pay tribute to man who died in collision at Preston Docks

The family of a man who died in a collision at Preston Docks have issued a tribute.

Christopher Scott, 32, died after he was involved in a collision with a van on Monday (May 8).

The family has now expressed their grief at the loss of “a loving son and brother.”

Christopher thoroughly enjoyed rambling and dancing and was a member of the Freebooters and Lytham St Annes Rambling Clubs, as well as the Fancy Feet line dancing club.

He also volunteered for the British Heart Foundation and was well known within the community in the Kirkham area where he worked at Morrisons supermarket.

His family have also passed on their thanks to all who assisted following the collision.

Preston Police have begun an appeal for witnesses to the incident.

Sergeant Steve Hardman said: These are tragic circumstances and my thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this time.

“We are appealing for information and would urge anyone who can assist with our enquiries to come forward.

“If you witnessed the collision and have not yet spoken to police, please contact us.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting log reference 1131 of May 8.
