Matthew was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome in 2015, and found that rapping was a fun and creative way to express himself, leading him and Callum to perform in London at Autism’s Got Talent 2017 alongside many talented people and celebrities.
Matthew, who lives in Preston, said: “I always knew there was something different and when I was diagnosed it was good because after 35 years of being oblivious, I finally knew why.
“It took me a while to adjust to the diagnosis, but with the new knowledge I found that I could use it in a positive way to be creative and fun.
“It helps me to write songs and I love performing as it allows me to get things out of me that the world doesn’t usually see.
“It allows me to stay mentally healthy.”
The Ships and Giggles gig will be free entry and the FMA + 12 Gage will be performing at 7.30pm.
Matthew continued: “We are looking forward to performing at Ships and Giggles.
“We are the worlds greatest Father-and-Son act.”
