A sprawling six-bed mansion on the outskirts of Preston is being raffled off by its owner.
It could be yours for just £2 as its owner says the renovation job has ground to a halt.
Dunstan Low bought the grade-II listed Georgian home in Melling, near Carnforth, in 2011.
He’s spent £150,000 on repairs and restoration but now says he is struggling to pay the mortgage.
Unsuccessful attempts to sell the property mean Mr Low is now putting out 500,000 tickets at £2 a pop for a new owner.
He told the Manchester Evening News: ““We have tried selling it and renting it but we haven’t had any success. We have had it on the market for the last two years and we have been adjusting the prices.
“When I first told people I was going to raffle it everyone looked at me saying ‘are you crazy, what are you doing?’
“But I have had people contact me saying it such a genius idea and they hope I beat the bank.”
The deadline for buying a ticket is 1 August and Mr Low says 186,000 tickets have been sold so far.
He says £25,000 of the money raised will go to St John’s Hospice.
You need to answer a simple question about the property and then register via the Win A County House website.
