The event was a great success as so many items were donated that some had to be transferred to Chorley hospital.
The bikers set off at 1pm from the Lea Gate pub and arrived at the children’s ward at Royal Preston Hospital with a vast collection of Easter eggs and toys.
The biker clubs that took part in the Run included Norse Valkyries, Brotherhood Riding Quest and Preston Wildcats.
Jennifer Mellors, co-organiser of the Easter Egg Run, said: “It was a great success with 56 bikes altogether!
“We had so many eggs and toys – Cath who runs the department said some will go to Chorley as well as given out to visiting children because there were so many and that she had never seen so many bikes.
“We like to bust the myth that bikers are all deviant beer-guzzling hairy monsters.”
“It was a gorgeous day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves – We always get a cup of tea and biscuit once we arrive.”
The bikers have held the Easter Egg Run every year for the past 5 years.
