Police are appealing for information after a failed robbery on a delivery driver.
A man approached the potential victim who was getting parcels out of his van. He threw a punch at the man before making a failed attempt to grab the parcels.
He then rode off empty-handed towards Blackpool Road on a silver mountain bike.
The incident happened at around 11.05am on Thursday, April 20 in Ribbleton Avenue near the junction with Cromwell Road.
The offender was described as white, slim build, around 25 years old with a pale, gaunt complexion and grey, droopy features.
He had a crooked nose which bent to the right and was wearing a white and black deer stalker hat, a black jumper and grey jogging bottoms.

DC Lewis Haigh of Preston CID said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who may have been driving past and witnessed the incident.
“Similarly, if anyone saw a man matching the description in the area around the time of the incident and has any information that could assist with our enquiries then please get in touch.”
