Aspire Gyms has tabled plans to convert the unit which is part of JTF Warehouse in Pittman Way, which will continue to trade.
The discount gym chain says it will start prices at £15-per-month for use of its gym, weights room and studio.
A change of use application to Preston City Council outlines 15 full-time jobs are to be created, five part-time roles and a up to 20 freelance jobs as studio and gym instructors.
The former CityLink unit would be refitted to include gym equipment and changing areas.

Warwick Consultancy who are tabling the application on behalf of Aspire Gyms state: “The building is currently vacant and has been so for some time, it is believed that the demand for industrial/office buildings of this nature is low, as is demonstrated by the number of units available in the area, and the potential for re-using the building for the same use is low in the immediate future.”
