An online community helped at brides and grooms-to-be has stepped in to try and source help for those affected by the closure of the Dan Kerr stores.
The bridal boutique went into administration this week and has left many couples stuck ahead of their big day.
The Wedding Lawyer website has asked for married couples to step in and help – by lending their wedding dress or suit for the day.
Robson Kay have been called in to wind up the wedding firm which had stores in Preston and Blackpool.
Director Jonathan Kay said they are doing their best to contact brides and grooms affected.
Website the Wedding Lawyer says: “With some couples potentially losing out on between £200 and £5,000 we are looking to assist those who cannot afford to purchase a new outfit.
“If you are already married, you may have a spare bridal dress/wedding suit that is not currently being used. If so, we are appealing to anyone who maybe willing to lend their dress or suit for a day to a bride or groom who has lost out on getting their outfit from Dan Kerr Brides and is unable to obtain a refund.”
