The closure of a road in the centre of Preston is to continue for a few days longer than planned.
One lane in Church Street is shut while highways workers repair a ‘depression’ in the road.
The stretch from Lancaster Road to Guild Row, leaving the city centre, has been shut since Monday 27 March.
Now Lancashire County Council says it’ll take an extra few days to repair the road.
A county council spokesman said: “This work has taken slightly longer than scheduled due to an issue with the ground conditions.
“This has slightly delayed the completion of the work, which will now take an extra few days. We’re doing what we can to reopen it to vehicles as soon as possible.”

The road had been due to reopen on Monday 10 April.
A diversionary route remains in place running from Lancaster Road, via Glovers Court, Syke Street, Avenham Lane and Manchester Road.
