An arson investigation has been launched after a fire in Deepdale.

A wheelie bin was set alight against the door of a flat in Dodgson Place, off Skeffington Road.

Two fire engines from Preston Fire Station were called out at 2am on Saturday (29 April).

The crews put out the fire and there were no casualties and damage only to the bin and door of the flat.

Preston Police have been informed and will carry out an investigation.
