Woman hurt in Moor Lane collision

A woman has been taken to hospital after a collision near Preston’s university campus.

The 18-year-old woman, a pedestrian, was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Golf in Moor Lane.

Preston Police closed the road at around 1.30pm on Monday (6 March) following the incident.

A police spokeswoman said the woman involved is thought to have suffered cuts and grazes and has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital to be checked over.

Moor Lane has since reopened.
