Woman cut free from car following collision at Samlesbury

A woman had to be cut free from a vehicle following a collision between two cars in Samlesbury this afternoon (March 1).

Two appliances and crews from Preston attended the scene at around 12.38pm where hydraulic equipment was used to remove the roof of the car.

The woman was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

The incident occurred on Preston New Road in the vicinity of the Samlesbury Hotel.

Lancashire Road Police are reporting no serious injuries as a result of the incident.

There are no traffic delays as a result of the collision.
