Warning to dog owners after mystery illness in Fulwood

Dog walkers are being warned to avoid the D’urton Lane area of Fulwood.

Preston Police say they’ve been informed of several dogs becoming ill after being walked in the area around the road.

Update: Two dogs have died

No details are available on whether the dogs are ill from something eaten or have been physically harmed.

A spokesman for Preston Police said: “If you usually walk your dog or know anyone that walks dogs in this area please exercise caution.”

Wildlife officers are making enquiries following the incident on Friday (24 March). and further details are due to be released.
