Woman taken to hospital after Ribbleton incident

Part of Longridge Road was closed off by police following a ‘serious incident’ on Saturday tea time.

Update: Police confirm woman involved has died

A number of police vehicles and an ambulance were outside an e-cigarette shop in Ribbleton.

At this stage the nature of the incident is not known, but Preston Police confirmed a woman had been taken to hospital. Her injuries and medical condition is not known.

Reports came in shortly after 5 on Saturday (25 March) of Preston Police being in attendance and they confirmed they were called by the ambulance service because a woman needed medical attention.
