Preston based artist, Hannah Cobb, has started a unique project that is running through the city.
Advertisement‘HOME’ is the illustration that Hannah was inspired to create after working with inspiring volunteers at the Preston City of Sanctuary event in early March.
The project is made up of a series of illustrated short interviews with people who have lived or were in born in countries outside of the UK, with an aim to increase positive attitudes towards diversity.
Hannah is on the look out for volunteers to get in touch with her and share their story if they have lives outside of the UK at any point in their lives.
She is welcoming volunteers to email her with a photograph in order for her to illustrate and add to the project.
She would appreciate volunteers to forward their name, age, occupation, place of birth, and country they have lived in, however Hannah would fully appreciate people who would like to remain anonymous.
Hannah said: “The catalyst for the project was working with so many inspiring and diverse volunteers at the ‘Preston City of Sanctuary’.”
“The aim of it is to protest the ‘Us vs. Them’ attitude which is so prevalent in mainstream media, whereby there is unity formed on each individuals’s concept of the intrinsic human value of ‘HOME’.”
