Police issue warning to Lostock Hall residents after evening burglary spree

A warning has been issued to residents of Lostock Hall after a number of reported burglaries in the area.

South Ribble Police has received numerous reports of sneak-in burglaries between the hours of 7-11pm.

The crimes have involved sneaking in through unsecured doors and stealing portable items while the resident is inside.

A statement from South Ribble Police said: “Reminder to all Lostock Hall residents we have had a number of reports over the previous week for sneak in burglaries from 7pm-11pm in the evening.

“Access has been through a rear insecure door. Handbags, wallets, mobile phones have been stolen from kitchen sides.

“A reminder to all residents to make sure you lock your doors and windows even if you are in the address!

“We don’t want you to be a victim of crime!”
