An outdoor concert is returning to Preston’s Flag Market – but this time not in the freezing cold!

Prestfest sees Fatman Scoop and Tom Zanetti headlining the summer gig.

An arena is being created in Preston’s central square for the concert.

Club favourite Tom Zanetti performs sets across the globe and has amassed 16million plays on his YouTube channel.

Grammy Award winner Fatman Scoop promises a high-energy set including his mega-hit Be Faithful.

BID manager Mark Whittle said: “The city’s night time economy is the strongest it has ever been, together with the city’s venues we’ve organised this huge event to promote Preston and it’s leisure offer.

“Prestfest will provide a great reason to get together in the summer and celebrate our Purple Flag status -Lancashire’s only award-winning destination for a night out’.”

Support on the night comes from local DJs including Des Grant who will perform his specialist soul, motown and R&B.

Last year’s Prestfest saw Craig Charles and Mr Jam DJ on the Harris balcony during sub-zero temperatures in January.
