Lostock Hall toddler death: Three people released on bail

Three people arrested in connection with the death of a 19-month-old girl from Lostock Hall have been released on bail.

Preston Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of the toddler on Thursday (23 March).

The North West Ambulance Service contacted police after going to treat the girl at an address in Lostock Hall at around 9.30am.

The toddler was taken to Royal Preston Hospital and died a short time later.

Police say the death is being treated as suspicious and a post mortem examination is being carried out to establish the cause.

Three people, a woman aged 18 and two men aged 18 and 19, all from Lostock Hall were arrested on suspicion of murder and have now been released on bail until Wednesday 19 April.
