The Lancashire Archives, located on Bow Lane, will be holding a ‘Cafe Archive with Family History’ event on Friday 10 March.
The event will give families the chance to explore their heritage and there will be four experts there on the day to help with any family history queries.
People can attend the Cafe Archive for free and it will be taking place from 10.30am-12.30pm.

The organisers, Friends of Lancashire Archives, are putting on four Cafe Archive events this year, with two being Family History Surgeries.
At this Cafe Archive, the group will be selling tea, coffee, cakes and a selection of savoury treats such as sausage rolls.
The money raised at the event will go towards helping the Friends of Lancashire Archives in their role of assisting Lancashire Archives with various different projects.
Anna Watson has been an archivist for 33 years until retiring last March and is also on the Friends Committee.
Anna said: “We hope to encourage new visitors to the Archives so that they can learn more about what we do and have a cup of tea at the same time.”
“I have been keen for the Archives to have the Cafe event more often.
“I’ve always done the refreshments at the event and just enjoy it.”
