Guide Dogs Preston
Guide Dogs Preston are on the hunt for volunteers to help fill two essential roles within their Fundraising Group Team.
The charity works to support blind and partially sighted people, providing both mobility and freedom to those who are in need of it, and help to raise money for the two million people in the UK that are living with sight loss.
They are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to fulfil the Fundraising Group Coordinator and the Trading Secretary (merchandise) roles.
Volunteering consultant with Guide Dogs Janet Harper said: “The roles are an exciting opportunity to be the key contacts for fundraising in the Preston area and lead a local fundraising group to raise money for blind and partially sighted people.”
The Fundraising Group Coordinator role will involve helping with the coordination of a group of like-minded people with an aim of raising money through events or other activities.
The ideal candidate for this role would be a good communicator with team working skills, and have the ability to motivate a group people.

The Trading Secretary role will involve helping out at events, setting up and selling merchandise for the Fundraising Group, along with banking money raised at events.
As Trading Secretary, you will be given responsibilities such as ordering and pricing new goods alongside undertaking a year end stock take.
Both candidates would work closely with the Community Fundraising Development Officer and the Fundraising Group Volunteers.
