A driver has been taken to hospital following a crash on the M6 near Preston.
AdvertisementLancashire Police closed the M6 southbound between Junctions 33 and 32 during the incident.
Three fire engines from Fulwood, Morecambe and Lancaster responded to the incident at 12.56pm on Saturday (25 March).
A car had left the motorway and hit a fence, trapping one person inside.
Firefighters cut the car away to rescue the man who was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by ambulance.
The motorway was fully reopened after an hour and delays have eased.
