Police are searching for a Preston man who has last seen on Tuesday.
Douglas George Wilson, 44, was receiving treatment at Royal Blackburn Hospital when he discharged himself.
PC Darren Bassett of Preston Police said: “We are extremely worried about Douglas Wilson and would like to hear from anybody who knows where he is, or who has seen or heard from him.
“Similarly if Douglas himself sees this appeal, we would urge him to get in contact to let us know he is safe.”
Mr Wilson was last seen in the Leicester area at around 2pm on Tuesday.
He is also believed to have travelled to the Cambridge area.
Mr Wilson is described as white, of broad build, with auburn hair. He is usually clean-shaven and speaks with a Scottish accent. He has tattoos on his left arm of a swallow carrying mushrooms, a swallow and dots, a tattoo on his right arm of a rabbit with a carrot and on his shoulders he has tattoos of spider webs.
He was last seen wearing a green Adidas hoodie with white stripes on the arms, khaki dungarees, clear-rimmed glasses, green Nike Air Max shoes, a celtic ring in silver and another silver band ring. He is believed to be in possession of a Sony Discman and a brown rucksack.
