A service introduced for commuters between Fulwood and Preston city centre now has a service going the other way.
The number five was introduced with a direct service between the North East Preston Employment area at Oliver’s Place and Pittman Way at Asda to the city centre.
It was free for the first six weeks and after being reviewed Preston Bus is now introducing the service going from the city centre, and keeping the Fulwood to the city centre service.
Departing from Stand 22 at the Bus Station it will go via Lancaster Road, Deepdale Road, Watling Street Road and then Eastway. Once finished at Eastway it will return to the city centre ging via Anderton’s Way to the Anderton Arms.
Buses are to depart the Bus Station at 6.32am, 6.52am and then every 15 minutes until 8.52am.
Regular fares are to be charged on the number 5 service and Preston bus Easi passes are accepted.

Fares are also being charged on the Fulwood to city centre service which runs at 4.35pm, 5.05pm and 5.35pm.
The introduction of the number 5 service sees the number 14/14a service no longer running before 9.07am on Monday to Friday – passengers are advised to use the number 5 instead.
