Passengers using a Preston Bus service between Longton and Preston are being warned of three weeks of delays.
Chapel Lane in Longton is being resurfaced causing diversions on the number 12 service.
A stretch of the road between the A59 and Liverpool road is to be closed 7am to 5pm each day from Monday (13 March) until Friday (31 March).
Preston Bus says it will be diverting the number 12 via the A59 Longton bypass southbound to the first roundabout at Gill Lane then northbound up the A59 to Liverpool Road roundabout, then Liverpool Road to Franklands and then terminating.
Heading into Preston the service will go via Liverpool Road soutbound on the A59, exiting at Chapel Lane and back onto its normal route.
A spokesman said: “The 12 will be unable to serve any stops on the closed section of Chapel Lane. Customers are advised to board or alight at the terminus, at marked stops on the Liverpool Road section of the diversion, or at stops on the unaffected section of Chapel Lane. Apologies for any inconvenience.”
