Healthy meals with a bit of a kick have come to Ashton-on-Ribble.
Lane Ends has a new eatery as the Health Kicks Kitchen opened and had some kung fu fighting for its opening.
Health Kicks Kitchen was opened by pro mixed martial arts fighter St Nightingale.
The Preston fighter cut the ribbon on the new venture of owners Philip Smith, from Ashton and Lloyd Everett, from Warton.
Health Kicks has space for 24 diners and also does takeaway food.
You enter the cafe and decide how many calories you want and then pick from a menu based on this desire.

Lloyd told Business Lancashire: âUnlike your usual health bars, which offer just a predetermined calorie controlled menu of specific foods and drink, we offer a one to one personal service. We will sit down with you in advance to discuss your dietary goals and devise a choice of menus, which will help you achieve your weight related objectives.
“We will also advise on the best times to eat and which are the best health drinks to choose from, supported by a regime of regular exercise.
âHowever, we donât just do weight loss since, based on our experience of helping hundreds of customers, we can also help customers âbulk upâ; eat better to âlean upâ; detox or just improve their healthy lifestyle.”
The new cafe has created four new jobs for the Lane Ends area which has seen a number of businesses close down in recent months.

Phil said: âWe believe that we offer a unique healthy eating option, which can easily be replicated in other locations. Our aim is to open at least one new outlet per annum. Furthermore, as the concept develops, we will be introducing a Meal Preparation option, where a full weekâs meal preferences can be produced for customers to consume at home, based on their predetermined healthy schedule. What we call our âprepare, cook and deliverâ alternative.
âHealth Kicks Kitchen is your one stop guilt-free fast food outlet to meet all your needs for a healthy, structured lifestyle. Donât take our word for it, come and visit us and see for yourself.”
