A collapsed building in Fulwood is to be investigated by safety officials.

Firefighters were called to the property in Chapman Road, off Watling Street Road, on Sunday afternoon.

Crews from Bamber Bridge and Blackburn made the scene safe after part of the building collapsed.

The house is currently under renovation but strong winds during Sunday (12 February) afternoon may have triggered the damage.

No injuries were reported and a building inspector is to assess the damage.

The incident happened around 1.50pm.
