PoliceĀ are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked and robbed in Preston.
They were called at around 11.25pm on February 10 following reports of an assault in Adelphi Street.
A 25-year-old man had been walking on Plungington Road listening to music on his headphones, when he passed two men close to the junction with Ellen Street.
The men followed the victim towards Aqueduct Street and onto Adelphi Street before attacking him, causing injuries to his head and body.
As the assault continued an iPhone was taken from the victim by one of the offenders, before both men ran away in the direction of Plungington Road and Brook Street.
The victim was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment to head injuries and later released.
The first offender is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build. He had short black hair and was wearing a black hooded jacket.
A second suspect is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build. He had short black hair and was wearing a black top with light coloured pants.
Det Con Nigel Marler, of Preston CID, said: āThis was a nasty, unprovoked attack on a defenceless young man.
āThe victim has been left very shaken and we want to find the men responsible for this cowardly assault.
āIf you were in the area around the time of the incident, or saw the robbery, call police immediately.ā
