Police are appealing for information following an assault and attempted robbery in Preston.
The incident occurred at around 2.30am on February 18th, as the 32-year-old walked along Maitland Street after a night out.
Three or four men approached the victim and punched him several times in the face while looking through his pockets. They made off without stealing anything.
The victim sustained cuts to his face and was treated at Royal Preston Hospital.
One of the men has been described as being of Asian appearance, aged in his mid-20s and around 5ft 9ins in height. He was clean-shaven with short, dark hair and wearing a dark green jacket with fur around the hood.

Police would now like to speak to anyone who saw the incident, or who has any information about who the assailants may be.
DC Daniel Greene, of Preston Police, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious, or who has any information about who the men may be.”
