A fire which gutted a house in Ingol may have been started deliberately.

Preston Police have confirmed a 35-year-old Preston man has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

The home in Westbrook Crescent caught fire around 8.45pm on Saturday (25 February).

Neighbours called 999 as flames spread to the first floor of the house.

Initial reports indicated there may have been people within the house – which was targeted 24-hours earlier when a fire spread from a car to the house.
