A Preston girl has lost her fight against brain cancer.

Pippa Cole, aged five, died this morning (Monday).

Her family have seen Pippa undergo five operations on her brain, 12 treatments of chemotherapy and numerous hospital stays.

A post on the Pippa Cole – Brain Cancer Journey page on Monday (27 February) said: “This morning our beautiful girl Pip lost her battle xxx”

Seven months ago Pippa had beaten cancer for a second time but in November last year it returned.

A crowdfunding page to support Pippa was just short of its £10,000 target with a team of people doing Tough Mudders to raise money for Pippa’s parents Michelle and Scott who were caring for their daughter full-time.

Pippa was first diagnosed with brain cancer nearly four years ago.

The team at Blog Preston extend their deepest sympathies to the Cole family at this terrible time. If you would like to show your support for them, and Pippa, you can donate via a Justgiving page. You can also leave your tributes to Pippa in the comments below.
