Hit and run leaves pedestrian with injuries near Morrisons

A man has been left with serious injuries after a suspected hit and run near a Preston supermarket.

Preston Police closed off Mariners Way near Morrisons at the Docks after the incident.

Inspector Kim Sturgess said a man had suffered head and pelvis injuries.

The pedestrian was involved in a collision with what’s thought to be a black BMW which made off from the scene at around 7.35pm on Saturday (18 February).

A passer-by reported seeing five police cars and an ambulance in attendance at the scene.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Lancashire Police on 101 quoting ref 1337.
