A farm just off the A6 at Broughton could be demolished as more than 100 new homes may be built on its land.
Just up from the Marriott hotel the land at Keyfold Farm has seen a planning application put in by Wainhomes.
The housebuilder has outline plans for the site which stretches along the side of the hotels grounds and up towards Broughton pre-school and King George’s playing fields.
A new access road would be built from the development to join the A6, which is expected to see traffic levels fall when the Broughton Bypass is complete.

Emery Planning, acting on behalf of Wainhomes, say 46 of the homes would be classed as affordable homes.
They state: “The proposed development comprises sustainable development and we have not identified any adverse impacts that would significantly demonstrably outweigh the benefits associated with the proposal.”
Detailed plans for the development, which would be a mix of three to four-bedroom homes, can be viewed on the Preston City Council website and comments left there.
