Blackburn man charged with Fulwood pensioner attack

A man has been charged following an attack on a pensioner in his own home in Preston.

The 92-year-old victim was set upon at an address in Lytham Road, Fulwood, at 1.30pm on Saturday (13 February).

A man entered the property and demanded money, when the pensioner refused, he was left with a serious injury to his right arm as well as swelling to his right hand.

Preston Police have now charged Andrew Young, 44, of Aqueduct Road, Blackburn, with burglary in a dwelling with violence.

He is due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court during Tuesday 14 February.
