Average speed cameras have gone up on a stretch of a major road into Preston.
London Road has three of the yellow cameras no in place from the Capitol Centre up to opposite Lola’s restaurant.
Although the cameras are in position they are not live – yet.
Lancashire Police confirmed enforcement was not happening and it could be a couple of months before the cameras begin tracking motorists.
A spokeswoman said: “We are doing a lot of work to get the cameras set up and ready. There’s a lot of testing needed.”

Work is starting on putting average speed cameras in place at seven other locations across Lancashire.
London Road is due to be the first of the sets of cameras to begin enforcing the speed limit but a date of March this year is only set in pencil according to Lancashire Police as lots of testing is needed first.
