A vintage fashion meet up was held at the Harris Museum, in Preston City centre, on Saturday 14 January.
AdvertisementThe large meet up involved vintage enthusiasts – from the 1940s/50s Most Marvellous meets up group – getting together at the museum to examine their Horrockses dress collection up close.
Around 20-40 vintage folk will dressed up in a variety of different eras, from the 30s to the 50s.
The group met at Bruccianis Café, on Fishergate, for some breakfast and then made their way to the museum in their spectacular outfits.
The purpose of the vintage meet up was to invite all those who love vintage, from any era, to meet up with others who have a similar interest enabling them to socialise and gain support from like minded individuals.
The event was organised and hosted by Reinvintaged, a dressmaking company that launched in September 2013.
The company specialises in vintage style recreations for ladies from the eras of 1920s – 1960s, using original and reprinted vintage patterns.
Reinvintaged frequently hold events to fundraise and have recently held a Christmas ball and a calendar in aid of the British Lung Foundation.
